The moon reminds me of a Christian. The moon reflects the light it gets from the sun, the Christian gets his/her light from the Son.
These pictures were taken when the world came between the sun and the moon, thus blocking the sun's light, resulting in a diminished reflection of light from the sun.
A Christian's light is diminished similarly when the world is allowed to eclipse the Son's Light.
Result: Christian's aren't much use to the Son when the world is in the way.
